Before opening Eccentric's - The Spa Sanctuary, Lisa Ennis owned another very successful full-service hairstyling salon for nine years that featured dynamic haircuts, hairstyles, haircolor, permanent waves, relaxers, manicures, pedicures, makeup applications, and waxing services. She closely followed the emerging trends in the professional beauty industry that went beyond hair and advocated the philosophy that beauty was much more than the outer physical self; it was a total body experience. The desire to promote inner peace and well-being of the soul within each client, as well as to provide total beautycare and wellness services—fully supporting each person's inner eccentric—prompted Ennis to launch Eccentric's - The Spa Sanctuary in the fall of 2003.
Inspired by the soothing and relaxing environment of the Caribbean islands, Lisa created a Caribbean-themed spa environment—her version of "a soothing solution for a stressful world." At Eccentric's, clients are immersed in the island atmosphere, surrounded by wall murals of beach landscapes, while the sounds of island rhythms fill the air.
As a minority business owner, Ennis chose to compose a team of talented multicultural hairstylists, makeup artists, and nail technicians—who work together to design a signature look for each client. The diversity of this team allows Eccentric's to offer the latest trends in services for clients of every age, culture, and ethnicity.
To ensure that clients receive quality service with every visit, all of the spa professionals participate in an ongoing advanced training program that encourages professional and personal development for both technical and customer service skills. Every new employee, regardless of experience, goes through a twenty-week training program to learn Eccentric's culture. Top nationally respected beauty industry educators are also frequently invited to the hair spa to share their knowledge with the staff.
A favorite hairstylist of local clients for years, Lisa Ennis also has been nationally recognized as a talented hairstylist by top fashion and beauty publications such as Celerity 101 Hairstyles, SalonOvations, Salon Today and Black Hair magazines, as well as Passions International Stylebooks. Lisa's unique mixture of talents, eccentricities and vision have turned her innovative hair spa into another success story. Celebrity 101 Hairstyles magazine recognized Eccentric's as one of the "Top Haircolor Salons in the USA!"
